Position: Procurement Manager

As a Procurement Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in centralizing Staten’s procurement of Modules, Inverters, Racking, BOS and services for US/India projects. Your responsibilities will include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers. The goal is to find innovative ways to cut costs, allowing the company to invest in growth and people.

Position : Procurement Manager (US/India)

Location : Delhi/NCR, India (Remote/Hybrid Mode)

Responsibilities:

  • Participate with the engineering/ project team in defining the scope of Work and in preparing and coordinating Procurement Plans, procedures, schedules, forecasts, budget and monitor them.
  • Assure that project purchasing of equipment and materials is consistent with Staten’s Directives, Management Instructions, and Procurement Procedures or set-up a process if needed.
  • Coordinate Procurement plan with Engineering and Construction teams.
  • Monitor and evaluate project procurement status.
  • Develop effective sourcing strategies to identify and secure suppliers.
  • Optimize procurement processes to achieve cost savings.
  • Enhance existing direct relationships with module, racking, inverter suppliers. Leveraging your existing network to identify top-tier module, inverter, and key material providers in both USA and India market.
  • Strengthen relationships with the channel (distributors) by consolidating purchases.
  • Initiate business and organization partnerships.
  • Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with suppliers.
  • Ensure timely ordering of necessary goods and services.
  • Confirm order details, including qualities, quantities, delivery schedules, and pricing.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Regularly review existing contracts for compliance and effectiveness.
  • Monitor functional metrics related to procurement expenses.
  • Manage risk associated with supply contracts and agreements.

Requirements and Skills:

Proven Working Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

    • 10+ years’ experience as a Procurement Manager.
    • Strong understanding and knowledge of global prices of all the components used in a solar power plant.
    • Familiarity with sourcing and procurement techniques.
    • Strong ability to work with numbers and analyse data.
    • Leadership capabilities.
    • Strong communication skills and good with working of Excel, Word, MS Teams and Procurement software.

Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with any degree/certification in supply chain management, logistics (Desirable).
